As most of you will be aware, today New Zealand adjusts its approach to COVID-19 by moving to the COVID-19 Protection Framework- otherwise known as the Traffic Light system. The new framework is designed to allow businesses to operate as normal as possible through the use of vaccinations, whilst also minimising the spread of COVID-19 and its risk to vulnerable people.
As of Monday, HamiltonJet will be incorporating this new framework into its business activities, which is outlined in the attached COVID Protection Framework- Level Orange. This plan will appear and feel very similar to the Level 2 plan we have been operating under, which speaks to the level of risk that remains within the community, and the businesses obligations to keep everyone safe.
The COVID-19 Projection Framework is very much in its infancy, and as such there will no doubt be ongoing enhancements to the framework to strengthen its performance. We will be staying abreast of these developments as they occur and update our own plan as needed. Some highlights of the Level Orange plan are:
- Department bubbles remain due to their ability to limit transmission through the organisation.
- Departments will be issued with their own QR codes to make COVID tracing easier.
- Accessing departments to undertake and satisfy business needs will be easier, through mask wearing and physical distancing.
- Facemasks will continue to be used in communal areas to prevent transmission.
- Visitors and contractors will be required to comply with the use of My Vaccine Pass.
Inductions will be held with departments on Monday 6th to talk through the plan, with the aim to have them all completed by Tuesday morning. Times and locations will be communicated to employees via the HJ website/FaceBook pages. In the meantime, please continue to operate under the level 2 plan until you have had your induction.
